2025 Tryouts Are Happening now!

Email admin@northjerseyaquatics.com or call 973-214-5340 to set up a private tryout.

North Jersey Aquatics is excited to announce the addition of our Club Bronze Swim Team. This team is for swimmers ages 8-12 who are either looking to train to become better swimmers and athletes or who want the option to compete in USA sanctioned swim meets. Practices will be held at The County College of Morris and Morristown-Beard School, and swimmers can decide ahead of time which two nights they want to attend.

Our Bronze Team will provide a customized, high level approach for a select group of swimmers. Invitation to this program will be by tryout and interview process. Our coaches are looking for swimmers with great work ethic, dedication to the sport, and who are looking to take swimming to the next level.

How is the NJAC Experience Different?

North Jersey Aquatics has a strong vision to help competitive athletes reach their full potential. We know that coaches do not typically have time during daily practices to correct details as much as swimmers would like, so our goal is to bridge the gap in order to create athletes who are in tune with their own stroke development. We meet each swimmer where they are and develop a plan for the future before executing that plan to achieve goals. We prepare them with the skills to perform at a higher level in practices and meets as well as understand the science behind why we swim with a certain technique and how they can use that knowledge to improve.

We work on each swimmer as a whole in order to create the strongest athlete imaginable given his or her past/current training and genetics. This includes focusing on the science behind technique, race prep, visualization, and goal setting. Our swimmers learn to move faster in the pool by improving buoyancy and body position which leads to creating additional propulsion and minimizing resistance. We also prepare athletes by offering guidance in how to mentally prepare for races, become faster swimmers, deal with gruelling daily schedules, and how to build confidence in an ever changing world.

Club Bronze Swim Team FAQ

We have heard over and over in our years of coaching and being involved in competitive aquatics that swimmers and parents want a more quality swimming/swim team experience. NJAC’s philosophy and mission has always been on quality and personal attention from learn-to-swim to competitive swimming. This team is an extension of that philosophy.

NJAC’s team will have a very small coach:swimmer ratio which is something that is not available at other programs. Swimmers and parents have seen it – there are just too many swimmers in the pool to get the attention, time and consistency that you want and deserve. NJAC is on the cutting edge of a new type of program where small satellite programs are able to provide highly customized programming but with the benefit of attaching to a greater club team for resources and competitions.

Swimmers at this level will have the option to register with USA Swimming in order to compete in meets throughout the season. There will be an additional cost to join USA swimming, affiliate with our club team, and a cost for meet entry fees. This is optional for our Club Silver and Club Bronze teams.

NJAC will continue to train in the pools that NJAC traditionally uses – The County College of Morris, in Randolph, and Morristown Beard School, in Morristown. Practices will be offered 4 days/week, split between the two locations. Swimmers who register will choose 2 days to practice out of the available practice options.

Tryouts are on a private basis and are available anytime as long as there are openings in the program. You can join mid-session and tuition fees will be prorated. Email admin@northjerseyaquatics.com to inquire and set up your private tryout. (As a general idea of ability, typically swimmers who qualify for this program have already tested into our Junior 1 program. Minimum skills required include performing a 25 yard swim legally for each stroke, and being able to dive off the starting block.)

Swimmers can opt to join by the session or join for the full season, from Sept-June. This gives families the opportunity to make a commitment that works with their schedules. The best value is joining for the full season!
