Group Makeup Lessons
We have a NEW class makeup option for our learn to swim families. Learn to Swim students are entitled to one free group makeup lesson every month as long as you report the absence at least 2 hours prior to the start of your class. Scheduling for these group makeup lessons must be done in advance by registering in the customer portal.
Note that Learn to Swim Monthly tuition will only be adjusted for facility closures and/or holiday closures, we are not able to adjust tuition for family absences. There are no refunds or credits for missed classes under any circumstances.
Details all Families Should Know Regarding Group Makeup Classes
- Be sure to see our locations page to be sure you know where to go when you arrive on location.
- A group makeup lesson is offered only to active members and must be redeemed in the same month you miss class. Once you are inactive, all makeups are forfeited.
- Each swimmer is eligible for one Group Makeup Lesson every month so we can ensure we have space for everyone to get a date.
- Group makeup lessons will be offered at a higher ratio than regular class ratios (4-5 students per class)
- Group Makeup Lesson slots will be available by level. There will be specific classes listed for Level 1/2, 2/3, and advanced 4/5/6/7. All ages will be combined for group makeup lessons. As an example, a Level 1/2 lesson will be open to ages 3-12 in the same class.
- Our Group Makeup Lessons are located at all different pools depending on available pool time and swimmers cannot makeup in a random class opening. This is to continue to keep our regular classes organized and to protect the customization of our weekly curriculum.
- You must pre-register for a Group Makeup Lesson at least 24 hours in advance by choosing the correct level in your portal. We cannot accept walk-ins or registrations with less than 24 hours notice.
- Once you register in the portal, the space is reserved. You will not receive an additional confirmation email. Once a space has been reserved, we cannot cancel and rebook this as you have held a space from another swimmer.
- You may still book a family swim rather than a group makeup class if you would prefer or if you cannot find a group makeup slot that works for you. We cannot guarantee specific days or times will be available for makeups, so be sure to attend your regular class.
HOW TO BOOK A GROUP MAKEUP LESSON
- Be sure to let us know at least 2 hours prior to the start of class that you will be absent by logging into your customer portal and reporting an absence.
- Once the date of the missed class has passed, you are eligible to log into your portal and enroll in a group makeup lesson. You can find these by filtering for Session: 2024-2025 Group Makeup Classes. (You may not book a makeup prior to missing your regular class.)
- All Group Makeup Lesson registrations will be checked for accuracy. If you have not reported your absence ahead of time, or have already booked one lesson in this past month period, we will have to deny your registration.
- Makeups must be completed within the SAME month as the missed class. Exceptions can be made for end of month absences. During the checkout process, there will be an option to leave a comment. Be sure to write the date of your missed class.
